Purpose:- To make a Vanilla cake
Ingredients:-
100g of self raising flour
110g of butter
110g of caster sugar
2-3 drops of vanilla essence
2 large eggs
1tsp of baking powder
Icing sugar

- Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl.
- Add the sugar to the baking powder and flour.
- Make sure the butter is at room temperature and beat that in with a electric whisk.
- Add the two eggs and the vanilla essence using the electric whisk whisk it.
- Pour into appropriate size tins, and bake in a pre heated oven at 180 C degrees.
- While the cake is cooking pour cream into a bowl and whisk it to make whipped cream.
- Insert a skewer into the cake, and if it comes out clean it's ready, and if it isn't bake for an extra five minutes.
- When it is cooked cut it in half and add whipped cream in the middle then top it with icing sugar.
